moderated forum bringing together research professionals and clinicians
interested in drug development.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Juang Liu
MD. PhD, thoracic surgeon and research scientist.
Dr. Liu obtained his MD from Shanghai, China. He started lymphatic targeted drug delivery research when he was a surgical resident in China. He received further clinical and research training after he immigrated to Canada in 1998. Subsequently, Dr. Liu completed his PhD study in targeted drug delivery at the University of Toronto. Over the course of his research, he has developed a novel trans-lymphatic chemotherapy technology by which anticancer agents can be effectively delivered to the targeted lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels to control cancer metastasis. His research has won numerous awards both nationally and internationally including NSERC-Innovation Challenge award, American Association for Cancer Research AACR-Aflac award, CIHR top feature project in 2006. His trans-lymphatic chemotherapy technology was also nominated for American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) drug delivery award.
